Photographed the Beyond The Barricade Tour last month at the Opera House. It was amazing to see how much Motionless In White has grown over the years. The first time I saw them they were opening for Norma Jean in 2011 at this exact same venue. Only about 15 people showed up for their set, so to see them headlining the exact same venue and filling it to it’s core was pretty damn awesome!

We The Kings-8

Just noticed that I never posted these pictures from the We The Kings show back in August. As much as I love the Opera House, I hate how dark it is inside. You seriously can’t see anything even when the lights are on. While going to the photo pit at this show I totally missed a step and sprained my ankle pretty bad due to it being so dark(when i landed on it I heard a big pop, thank god it wasn’t broken though)..

Anyways here are some super over due photos from that show haha. It was actually a really fun shoot and the extra lighting that the band brought was super helpful.

YMAS VI-11

Hailing from across the pond, British rockers You Me At Six brought their North American headliner into Canada for just one night only. With them, they brought Dinosaur Pile Up, Conditions & Tonight Alive along for the ride as they played to a sold out show at the Opera House.

All three openers did a great job getting the crowd warmed up for You Me At Six, and you could feel the crowd itching with anticipation as they waited for the band to hit the stage. When 9pm rolled around, You Me At Six finally hit the stage and all hell broke loose as fans tried to push their way closer to the band. They opened up with ‘Reckless’ and ‘Loverboy’, which comes off of their latest album ‘Sinners Never Sleep’. Although their set mainly consisted of newer songs, they didn’t forget to play some of their older fan favourites such as ‘Liquid Confidence’ and ‘Take Off Your Colours’. As the night progressed, lead singer Josh Franceschi, mentioned how it was nice to be back in Toronto as they haven’t been back since Warped Tour 2012. Given the crowd that night, you could easily tell that Toronto missed YMAS as well. There was a constant flow of crowd surfers, stage divers and circle pits going on throughout the night. So much so that security had to come on stage and try to remove the stage divers before they had the chance to jump off of the stage. As the night came to a close, the band ended their set with ‘Underdog’ and Josh asked the crowd to move in closer so that they could catch him as he dove off of the stage and into the crowd.

More photos can be seen after the jump.
